Ok! this is how you are going to make it work perfectly. Go to your date settings and set the regional setting to your own country’s code… please make sure that the country code matches your country’s own. if you have successfully done that, try it again and it will surely work.
always remember to use admin privileges ok!!!

Because you have not given your command prompt administrative privilege. try given it and try it again.

Try the this steps
* open the command prompt using admin privilege
* if the command you typed in is giving you problem remove the :80
* make sure your pc is properly connected to the internet

Then you will have to replace my key with yours and see if it works. The command is working for me and has been working for others and it should work for you too.

key you entered
and the second command “slmgr /ipk SERIAL KEY” – add the specific
serial you typed. You can search for a new serial and input if you feel the serial have stop working.

I’m using “Windows 8 Lite”.
I have tested “W8 Activator” to activate Windows 8 Lite but it don’t works alone. Then I typed the four commands you show above. After run “W8 Activator” again it activated the Windows 8 Lite like a charm!
PS: I have tested the W8 Activator with Windows 8 Enterprise and it works very well and no need the commands above.
If you don’t know W8 Activator or Windows 8 Lite, “Google is your friend”.

i am sorry for the delay guys. if the above trick do not work for you then you will have to use the direct method by going to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/feature-packs once the page opens put in a valid email and click “send my product key” check your email and you’ll see your product key. hope this helps as well

You have to have an activated WIN 8 to add features to it. You can not activate using the key they send you!

You will get the error message if you typed any of the commands in the command prompt without administrator access. better that you try again bu this time run as administrator.

what if we update win 8 after you crack ? does it work or it will not be genuine anymore.
There is nothing wrong with updating it after using the command. The only thing the command did was to change the default key and nothing else.

I haven’t tried this method so I’m not saying it doesn’t work……. it seems some people have had at least some degree of luck with this.
However…….
Ive used various cracks for Win8 and they have all made windows report that “Windows is activated”. But a few days down the line my internet connection stopped working, the only way to make it work was to set the date back, but even then it only worked for a while and windows seemed to work out what Id done and it stopped working again. Just cos it says “activated” doesn’t mean it is. Ill wait a few months for a working crack as Ive just uninstalled this.
Besides this method will only work for some time. Microsoft will (if they haven’t already) block that key/number and possibly do something to stop the whole method from working so even if you find a different key it still wont work.
Im sticking with 7 for now.

But i have most assurance that this command will not, they might block the key but not the command. so what i’ll advice you to do Randanzel, is to look for a new key to replace with the above and use it with the full command. how’s that?

hmmm… I don’t think that windows 8 Enterprise Evolution will work with the command, but if you can combine it with an activator, it might work. But i have not used an activator before.

I researched MSDN for my build and it says that Windows 8 Enterprise evaluation is a 90 Days trial and can not be upgraded. You need to clean install a fresh copy. Now can you also provide a download link/torrent where i can download a copy of windows where in this patch has been tested and works perfectly.
Try search for Windows 8 Professional Retail build 9200 to download it. it is what i am using and it will definitely work

if the command doesn’t work for your windows 8 pro then you will have to migrate to windows 8 Professional. or simply use it with an activator that will definitely work for pro.

i have seen the image, the problem you’re having is simple; remove the :80 in the third command and make sure you have internet connection enabled. because the image shows that it is not connected to the internet.

you have not successfully activated it completely. if you want the activation to be genuine, you will need to remove the default trial product key.

The reason the evolution copy is there is because you have not make it a genuine copy. follow the steps correctly and the water mark will remove

Now let me tell you what the commands do.
The first command which is “slmgr /upk” deletes the current serial key you’ve entered (if there’s any)
The second command “slmgr /ipk SERIAL KEY” – adds the specified serial you typed
the third command “/skms lunar21…” Connects your product to that kms server
The forth command “slmgr.vbs -ato” Activates the serial key you entered before.
Now that i have brake it down more, you’ll see that there is something wrong with your product. The command is not giving you errors but the way you implement it. you are not doing it well as you supposed to. thanks

How did you manage to get an indefinite activation? Do you think your method might work with the same product key one more time after 180 days have expired and once more when 360 days have expired and so on …?

I got 180 days using the above method with the above product key.
I tried it with a genuine upgrade key but it didn’t work.
Yesterday I made the mistake to check the box “Notify me of follow-up comments via e-mail”. How can i stop this? Now I uncheck the tickbox this time. Hope this helps and stops the service ….

The commands should work for you. make sure you open your command prompt using admin privileges and make sure that for each like you put the command, you’ll hit the enter button and also make sure that you’re connected to the internet. it will definitely work for you

There is something strange: In System, it says ” Windows is not activated.”. If I press on “View details in Windoes Activation”, it is written ” Windows is activated” ! In the end, is activated or not ?! I also have a watermark on the lower-right corner of the desktop saying: “Windows 8 Pro / Build 9200″. That thing usually appears when is NOT activated.
If it shows you the watermark, that means it has not been activated yet.

Why would you use activator and command prompt all together. Well! when it says it can’t be contacted that means it can’t reach your internet connection.

4th step does work. It says “error no kms could be contacted”
But if you right click on computer is actully says that windows have activated

On the command, remove the :80 and try it again

To know if your windows is activated. look below at the right hand site of your desktop screen, if there is any water mark, then your windows is not activated but if there is not watermark, then it is activated.

The reason you see those errors is because you did not gave the command administrative privilege. Give it admin privilege and it will work fine and make sure your windows is connected to the internet
Sir I am also connected to the internet and press Win+x key from command prompt(admin)

This is the solution i can render;
* open the command prompt using admin privilege
* if the command you typed in is giving you problem remove the :80
* make sure your pc is properly connected to the internet
If you perform all this and still did not work, then your windows can not be activated through command. the only option is to collect key from microsoft directly.

That is because you have not enabled the command to have admin privilege. Try to open your command with admin privilege and try to set your time GMT appropriately and also make sure you have internet connection enabled…

If you follow the same you will get “Windows is Activated” in the system properties but actually your windows is not activated !!!!..
If you are activated your copy of Windows 8 completely then only you can customize personalization settings (User Account Picture, Lock Screen & Start Screen).
Please follow the steps and check your windows is completely activated or not…
Hit Win+C go to “Settings” then go to “Change PC Settings” at the bottom right corner and check whether you can customize the personalization settings, if the options are not highlighting then you need to activate your windows.
If you wish to remove the current activation, open the command prompt with administrator privilege then “sfc /scannow”.

The serial above is from microsoft itself but if you have any other windows 8 key, it will also work but if it is not a windows 8 key, it will not work
ive tried these steps once too many! if you delete the prod key then it should run fine but you should not download the updates that are going to be needed because they will stop the operating system. if you have the windows 8 enterprise build 9200 like i have just put the first one in (slmgr /upk) that will work also dont visit the microsoft websites coz they can track you and still shut you down.

Hi guys .. if the instruction is not working can u try this another step . it was tested in Windows 8 Professional Build 9200 ..
1. Click the change and date settings
2. Click Internet Time tab
3. Click change settings and a pop up will show and click ‘Update now’
4. Next go to your Network adapter properties
5. Choose “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and click properties
6. Click ‘Use the following DNS server addresses’
7. Enter this Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8
8. Enter Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4
After this steps OPEN Command Prompt (RUN it as ADMINISTRATOR)
Type this like in the instructions
slmgr /upk
slmgr /ipk (enter Product key)
slmgr /skms win8kms4.mooo.com
slmg.vbs -ato
Then Restart the PC if there’s no error occured .. I hope this can help you guys ..

You really did ask some valuable questions here and i love it. Let me answer some of the questions. If you use the command and it does not work for you, it will not disturb your normal trial period and it will not give warning for a new serial key.

The command stated there is an undefined variable, you need to re-insert the command and insert it with care so you wont make a mistake. You made a mistake thats why you see the 500 variable is undefined…

If you’re afraid of using the above steps you don’t have to… but remember this; even if you use an activator the activator will still pass through a KMS server. So if you’re afraid of using KMS, try buying the original windows 8 from microsoft

You system do not have the windows 8 spec… and it is impossible for the above trick to restart your pc except you use an activator.

1. you have to update to latest .net framework
2. open cmd with elevated privilages and type in “sfc /scannow”
3. restart pc once
4.then again open cmd as admin and then type in “slmgr.vbs /rilc”

I did exactly as you told me and I still have the Windows 8 Release Preview Evaluation Copy. It did NOT activate. Does this only work on regular Windows 8?
