Let’s just go straight to the problems at hand and let’s look if we’ll come up with a solution together.

No Traffic

Let me go straight to the point here, you can never make money with your blog/ website if people are not visiting it. The only way you can think of getting dough off your blog, is when you start getting people (traffic) to come and interact with your blog. So in that manner I’d like to put the word “blog traffic” to my own definition.

Traffic is the amount of readers coming to your blog and traffic is the only source that can make your blog popular. Like I’ll always say; Traffic is the life source of any blog. Without traffic, your blog does as good as not exist, I’m I right or I’m I right?

Many bloggers have thought us different ways of getting traffic to our blog, now it is left to you and your skills to brush it up and learn how to utilize the resources you’ve gathered to make it a success for you.

Tips

Since traffic is the first step of making money with your blog, the below posts might get you the traffic you need if you follow them religiously –

Not reaching the right readers/ people/ customers:

Now we have started driving the right amount of traffic to our blog, since we have good content and we update our blog post frequently, there is no problem of converting those casual readers to our faithful and loyal readers, right?

But first let me ask you this simple question; are the readers interested in your niche (field) blog? This is also that “one” question you should be asking yourself.

Advice: When getting your traffic, always try to get it from a related niche (field) blog.

Tips

Making your readers, visitor a loyal and full member is very easy as long as you have the right content and you update regularly.

No strategy/ No Plan

You create a nice blog and everything is going smoothly as per great articles, quick updates, contributors and the traffic is regular but still you are not generating any income. The only reason you are not getting any dough from your blog is because you have not set a plan and you have not build a strategy (yet). Any man who doesn’t have a plan is as good as not existing, right?

Tips & Advice

Your plans and the way you strategize solely depends on you, but let me share this with you. Try to find what your readers truly like, go deep into their minds and explore and after that, blast them with something they’ll never expect. How’s that for a tip?

No affiliate marketing sense

Because professional bloggers tells you that affiliate marketing can pay good money to your pocket and you jump into it without learning the ropes. Are you selling products to your subscribers and none are showing interest? Some of the main reason is you’re not having enough subscribers, your content just isn’t it,  you are not getting the right audience for your blog, you rushed into it without learning the ropes, the high and the lows of affiliate marketing.

Tips

Go to your niche (field) blog, forums and get loyalist that are interested in what you’re doing. Hey don’t just start yet! Make sure you have a good traffic, a reputable ranking and most of all enough subscribers so that when you start you’ll see the result. Always remember this words “Your blog is your business don’t play with it”

√ The art of never giving up

Blogging is not meant for lazy, none patient and none strategic person, Blogging is meant for the strong, patient, never giving up people. Because you start blogging for just two months and you’re expecting a miracle to take place? A miracle might just take place, who knows!

  1. Hey Babanature,

Okay, it is possible to make money your very first month with a brand new blog. I know because I’ve done it. As a matter of fact, I made money for seven months straight in a row. Was it a lot? No but it was a start.

Yes, there is a process to go through but it starts with interacting with others and just getting yourself out in front of people. I definitely am talking about blog commenting. The particular blog you land on they may not immediately be interested in what you offer but some of their readers may.

I didn’t sell on my blog either, I just shared my experience of building a business but my opt-in was a free report which lead to a product and backend. I continued to make sales every single month that I was promoting that particular product.

Persistence and consistency in your daily actions is the key here. Trust me, it works.

    1. Hello Adrienne,
Really? Then i guess you didn’t start off as a newbie or a novice to the system. I started out rough, without knowing anything about my first 2 month of blogging but the 3month, everything kick off pretty well. And yeah blog commenting can really be a strong tool for a blogger. You really did great and thanks for the comment.

      1. Oh no, I was a complete newbie at this but I followed the directions they gave me and it worked. I had created a brand new blog and I had no connections at all back then. Yep, it’s possible when you’re following the right training. It’s finding it that’s hard.

  2. Hi Babanature,

Fantastic post here. The biggest reason I believe that most people don’t make money from their blog is lack of traffic. Once you’ve got the traffic coming in and you’re still not making money all it takes is matter of testing and tweaking to figure out the trigger and the flood gates will finally open.

You’ve done a great job at breaking down how to trouble shoot the problem. Thanks for sharing!

    Ti

    1. Hello Ti,
Ya! traffic do play a major roll in blog money but it is better to get serious traffic from your niche is it’ll be easy and straight forward. Thanks for the comment

    1. Hello Nwosu,
you don’t expect to make money with your blog when nobody’s reading it. What makes the money roll out is the traffic and the faithful readers. thanks for the comment

    1. Hello Cudjoe,
Like many bloggers would say; content is king. dropping the right content will make you stand out but yet, it is advisable to search that traffic and your convert them to become your loyalist. without traffic you can’t make money.

  3. Great article, and well written.. I do agree with the above.. I think networking with other bloggers should be on the list too..

    1. Hello Oluwaseun,
Well said; making friends with other bloggers will help increase the speed of your online blogging success. like they said; two heads are better that one, right? 🙂

      1. Exactly my point..Again this can lead to link exchange via blogroll!!!

I will be following your blog as from now on,you have good articles here, well done!!

        Many thanks,

        Seun.

  4. I need your help Baba. I’m getting 600-700 visits and 1000+ pageviews perday. In that 57% are from FB and 40%. 2-3% search traffic, with this traffic, should i apply for adsence

    1. Hello Naveen,
If you are getting up to 600 unique visitors per day, then it is good to apply for the adsense program. But do remember that placement of ads and your niche is also important to increase your adsense earnings…

  5. Babanature, everything you wrote here was like you’re reading my mind and i must confess this write up is super awesome! The problem here is i do get over 1k+ page views daily but i don’t qet people to comment on my bloq, does that one has something to do with the wrong traffic source? Thanks.

    1. Hello Eedris,
Do know that your page views does not determine your traffic or impressions…
To get comment on your blog, you have to be friendly, always comment on other bloggers blog and make sure you socialize with your fellow bloggers. Do those and i am sure you will start getting comments before you know it.

  6. I am blogging since 1.2 years but never made a single penny………
What should i do i get daily about 800 visits as my blogger.com overview shows but i signed up in some bidvertiser and chitika but they are giving me 0.17 $ in more than a week………..looks much hard to earn atleast 1$….
So please some one review my blog

    1. Hello Pishang,
The reason you’re not making money with your blog might be because you are just not trying enough.
Your blog design is very OK and great to make money with but you need to place your ads in strategic areas.
Using bitvertizer and chitika might not be a wise choice. I would strongly recommend you try out infolinks as your adsense alternate.

      1. As your all blogging related post After reading I bought a http://www.techinforu.com domain for my Blog.
Now I again resubmitted my Adsense Application At first Submit I got many errors like Insufficient Content And Copyrighted related After working on 7 Months I resubmitted and got error related less age than 18 years,
And then I changed my template and again resubmitted after 2 Months and today I got email that Its site Navigation is difficult.
(As i thought putting responsive Site navigation would Make much better Navigation but …..It reversed on my side)
Would you guide Me Which type simple or responsive or Much Colourful blogger templte would be better for Adsense?
        Thanks

        1. Your site template is perfect as it is. Google need simple template which you have right now. Just wait for a little while and apply again. I am sure they will approve your blog

  7. What a nice post! I believe traffic plays a significant role in making you money with your blog. But I have had a funny experience with Adsense; I never have any tangible earning with Adsense, though I make some money from other sources.

You did say something about presenting recommended adverts to traffic from the search engines and showing different one to traffic from direct source. I would love you to shed more light on that.

Promoting affiliate products would be a good way to earn extra income. But like you rightly said, one must first learn the ropes before delving into this otherwise it would be a wasted effort.

Thanks for this great post. Happy new Year.

    1. Hello Efoghor,

Though traffic those not play major role in making money online, but traffic is one sure factor of making big money online 🙂

Yeah, There is a way that you can make ads show for visitors from search engine and those ads won’t show to your regular visitors. It is one old strategy that never dies… haven’t you heard of it before? Well the process is long, so i will be making a post on it. just keep ya fingers crossed 🙂

Not learning something before diving in to it, will only bring you one step backward. Affiliate is indeed one of the best way of making money with our blog

Thanks for stopping by and dropping your wonderful comment. Do have a wonderful week ahead…
