My Greatest Traffic Tip And Strategy Ever

I just realize that what we “average” bloggers normally do to get the traffic that we have now is, write a great blog post -> share it on social networks -> do some little bit of blog commenting to drive traffic to that particular post and if possible, do some little bit of guest posting for some valuable sites. And this is how we do it over and over and over again… am I right or am I right? Just by doing blog commenting and taking advantages of all social networks can indeed help boost traffic and as well as give you backlinks, but have you thought of getting some extra traffic and quality backlinks (with little less effort) with that lovely post of yours?

smiling-man-with-thumbs-up

When I started blogging newly, the only source of getting my traffic was from social networks, guest blogging and blog commenting. Don’t get me wrong, doing just that gave me great deal of traffic but like “Oliver Twist”, I still feel that there are some more ways to utilize that same post to give me even more traffic. Time passes by and I did some good research then saw something, implemented it and it worked wonders :) . Are you still asking or wondering what this something is? I won’t say because it’s a secret :) ok, I’ll tell you this little secret because I really want you to get from that traffic as well ;) . This simple secret is none other than turning your blog post to pdf and distributing it to some directories. And what are the directories? In some few, you’ll know…

Just so you know: Turning your blog post to pdf format is no news for people who have been blogging for a while now but for those who just started blogging newly, it is still very much new to them and today we are going to show you how you too can make extra valuable traffic from your blog by converting your blog post to pdf file.

Greatest Traffic Tip Ever

Do you know what I always tell people searching for valuable web traffic and backlinks? Always practice all tips about traffic that you see online (no matter where you see it but as long as its clean) and if after trying the tips and it doesn’t work for you, leave it and move on to the next. Put this at the back of your mind that there is always room to try out new stuff.

Reason why this method is the best ever:

Statisctics

If you’re a blogger that only uses social media to drive traffic to your blog, and let’s say, for like a month you did not come online due to lack of internet connection or some other issues. Do you know that you will lose like half of your traffic (if not almost all)? That’s a fact :) , but by turning your blog posts into pdf file and submitting it to some valuable pdf and e-book directories, you can prevent such actions from taking place. Yes! With this process, you can get long term traffic even if you’re not online for many months or you stop blogging. That’s how effective this PDF stuff works.

How Can I Convert My Already Published Blog Post To PDF?

There are just so many ways in which you can convert your blog post/ article to pdf format. Don’t worry because today, I am not going to be discussing the many ways of converting your blog post to PDF but I will be showing you just one simple way of doing this…

Must Read: Adding Google Adsense Smartly To Improve Your Earning: for Blogger Blog

First download “print friendly & PDF” extension to your favorite browser. You can download the Chrome extension here or if you are using Mozilla Firefox download the extension here. Have you downloaded the extensions? If yes! You can now turn any web page to pdf without any stress.

Note: If you have not heard of the extension before or you don’t know how to use it, watch this 2 minutes video by clicking here

Extra Tip That Will Help You:

To make this work perfectly, your post or articles should have in-link pointing to other posts in your blog or make sure there is something that will attract the readers to click your link that will redirect them to your blog – hope you got what I’m trying to say? If not! Please ask question by using the comment box below and I am sure to answer you the best way I can.

Note: With this method, you can get valuable traffic from pdf directories, file sharing sites and even E-Book directories (if the post is long enough :) )

Now I Have Converted My Post To PDF, What Next?

Now that we have created the PDF version of our blog post, it is time to distribute it to file directories, PDF links, E-books and whatever place you’d want to distribute it to. Below are all the places I always submit my latest PDF files to:

Are There Any Advantages Of Doing This?

I don’t know what you mean by advantages but there are some benefits of doing this and below I stated the benefits I know :)

√ With social network, we post and promote our blog regularly, right? But with this traffic strategy, you’ll only post your PDF file once and watch it grow.

√ It does not take time or effort to carry out the task.

√ It helps you get more traffic flow even when you’re not online or trying to promote your blog

√ Doing this will give you quality backlinks and increase your blog (domain) authority.

√ Oh! And don’t worry because It is totally free and doesn’t have any negative effect on your blog.

Disadvantages Of Doing This.

The only disadvantage you will get from applying this traffic strategy to your blog is; you will not get any traffic if you do not do it well. Apart from this, this method is tested, trusted, safe and secure :)

Back To You:

I have said so much about so much, right? Now, it’s time to pass the ball to you.

    Hi Babanature,

    1. Yes, you described exactly what normal bloggers do to get traffic. I do all of these except one thing: guest posting. I am still preparing myself for guest posting.

    2. I have never heard of this method before. Seems interesting. It seems people don’t know about it. Why? Is this method so new?

I will bookmark this post. I have already copied the directory list and now I’m starting to study the chrome extensions and the video.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to write this post.

    Have a nice day

    Hey bro,
That’s a helpful post. You listed more directories I didn’t know of. In addition, I have used this (not so extensively though) to share fee-ebooks.net.

Thanks for bringing this up. It’s encouraged me to get back to the method which I almost abandoned.

Hope you are having a wonderful week

    Hi Babanature,

I watched the video and installed the extensions. The first thing I can say is that the conversion program works badly with the pictures. Those who are on the left (in the blog post) are moved to the right. What’s even worse is that some of the images that are centered are also moved to the right leaving an empty blank space on the right. The effect is awful.

Did you encounter this kind of problems?
    How did you solve it?
Silviu recently posted…Viral Content Contest Case Study 1My Profile

    • says

      Hello again Silviu,
Really? I have not had any bad experience using the extension. It is only printing your post to best fit your PDF document or maybe the sided images are larger and wont fit if it print the page like that…. all my images are mostly in centers so that’s why i haven’t had such problems. but you can also use word to pdf converter if this one is not ok for you. Thanks for the feedback it was surely noted :)

  5. says

    Hi Babanature,

Sorry for stopping by a little late today, just caught up with a pending project :)

I agree with you, the normal rut of blogging IS just as you mentioned, and we keep doing the same things repeatedly one day after the other and all do this does take all our time. And yes, the time when you aren’t online or on the social networks, your blog suffers.

I loved your tip, something that I’ve never tried because I always thought that convering your posts to pdf’s would be a long process, and most importantly, if we submit the same post content, isn’t it taken as duplicate content? Gosh! You really submit to ALL those directories, which means you need to create an account in all of them and manually submit them, and do you do this with all your posts, or only a few selected ones? Sorry for asking so many questions, but I’m trying to be a good student and ask you questions to learn it all up better ;)

Thanks for sharing this with us. Have a nice week ahead :)

      Hello Harleena,
The important thing is that you’re here and dropping your valuable comment :)
Now let me answer all your questions the best way i can :) . . . Copying your content to a whole new blog will be considered as duplicate content but submitting a pdf document to another directory can’t be considered as duplicate and cannot cause any harm to your blog. Google loves content like that.

Yes! i manually submit my post to all of them but not everyday, i only submit my pdf document to the directories anytime i have new post on my blog. The main thing is, you only have to do this just once. you can skip some of the directories if they are too much for you :)

I love answering questions my friend, it is what makes me know that people are actually following my post :)
Thanks for the comment and questions, do have a brilliant week ahead….

Sure Daniel, this method is not new but bloggers have forgotten this method while others don’t know if this method exist. The thing is, we should not take any traffic tips for granted.

    Power points here Babanature ;)

I use traditional promoting methods but see the benefit in sharing posts through different mediums.

Folks like their content through different channels; the PDF approach helps diversify your content streams which increases page views, click and search engine/link juice.

Smart approach buddy. Thanks for sharing Babanature!

  11. says

    Hi Babanature,

I remember you writing about this before and suggesting the eBook sites for us to submit our posts to. I also recall letting you know that I never had any luck with those sites. I don’t exactly remember right now their restrictions but it seemed to me that some of them charged while others had a page limit or something like that.

Now the doc sites I’ve done in the past and got kicked off a few saying that I was promoting when all I was doing was sharing my blog post material. This has been awhile now since I’ve done this but I use to do this all the time. So that was my experience and it wasn’t a good one I’m afraid.

I might give it another shot since there is no way any site can ever say I’m promoting something. Just like you said though, test test and test.

Thanks for sharing again. We need other ways that work to drive traffic to our blogs.

Babanature, thanks for sharing this traffic secret with us. Traffic from social media is actually unreliable because for it to keep coming, it means you have to work everyday. The day you fail to work, there is a decline in traffic.

But with this type, one can be sure to complement what comes from other sources and have some form of coverage for the days you are unable to update your social media.

    • says

      Hello Amrish,
I think i have answered this same question before. It does not have any side effect in terms of seo to your main blog, they all give backlinks to your blog as long as your pdf document has a link back to your blog.
