wordpress image optimization plugin

Some weeks back, I did talked about the “Best WordPress Image Optimization Method” in case you’ve not read it, you can still do.

So today, I am bringing to you “my top 3 plus 2 WordPress image optimization plugin” I think you’d love to try.

Why it Matters to Optimize the Images on your Blog

First, the image you use plays a big role in your blog speed. If you have it on your blog without optimizing it, you will notice the slowness when opening your articles.

Remember: Many people who surf the net, don’t like blogs that are slow.

To further show you that your image plays a lot in your blog speed – take 2 same blogs (with the same theme, the same host and the same content), use images on one of the blog and do not use image on the other one. Now test both blogs for speed and see which of the blog is faster.

Remember that if you’re on a shared host package, you will easily get your blog suspended due to the slowness of your blog, why? Over loaded blog takes a lot of CPU usage to work properly.

But you can save yourself the nightmare of having a slow blog or suspension from your host by taking the right actions now. And what’s the right action? By using one of the WordPress image optimization plugin mentioned in this post or better still, follow the instructions found here.

Nice list of image optimization plugins 🙂

Honestly speaking, I just use Smush.it from the list you mentioned, and I did check on a few from your list, but settled for this one as I read about it in someone else’s post too. I haven’t really tried the rest, though I wonder if there is any major difference between the rest and Smush.it or we should try the others instead of this one? I am pretty happy with it so far, or perhaps I haven’t tried the others so far 🙂

Thanks for sharing. Have a nice weekend 🙂
