Hi BabanaturE,
Thanks for sharing this wonderful hidden tips with us. It could be useful to us or to a fellow.
I could remember receiving a call from a girl some couple of days ago asking me how to make a lost BB Z10 useless to the thief. I was not aware of this google trick but gave her the little knowledge I’ve about using IMEI.
Thanks once more. As the case maybe in Nigeria, youths are fond of using cost phones. Even phones that cost half of their school fees or all. Am out of that though.
You detailed the steps sir; do have a nice day!
Hello Joseph,
You can still refer her to this post, i am sure she will thank you for that 😉
Thanks for the comment and do have a wonderful week ahead…
Nice trick bro , but GPS drains too much battery that’s why most of the people keep it turned off.
Hello Arup,
GPS Doesn’t drain battery, because it is only active when an app is using it. 🙂
This feature is superb and mind blowing. I guess I’m gonna try it now and i guess it would be very helpful.
Thanks

That’s a very nice trick. In fact I never thought about this and also don’t aware about this technique. Anyway I hate my phone, as whenever I am doing something with deep attention, it started ringing. 🙂
Hello Santanu,
Lol… you can do this fast before your phone starts ringing again 🙂
Thanks for stopping by and dropping your comment, have a wonderful weekend…
Hey Babanature,
This is an excellent tutorial.
Lets say the phone is stolen, won’t the new owner disable the GPS and de-activate all that setting stuff from the phone?
So, I guess this will help if the phone is lost and not stolen, right?
Will surely give it a try though, the feature is very exciting.
Hello Shobha,
When your phone get stolen, it will take some time before the thief would either factory reset the phone or simply turn of other programmes like the GPS.
and if it takes the thief sometime before deactivating your GPS, and as long as your account is still on that phone, Google will give you the last location of that location.
So it still helps a lot 🙂
Hey Babanature,
Thanks for this tutorial.
I use my phone a lot whenever I am travelling to stay online but I am always afraid that I would misplace my phone and then forget about it.
But now, I know of a way to find my lost phone (or stolen) easily.
Thanks, once again! 🙂
Hi Babanature,

Sometimes I am careless enough to forget my phone at some places. I have 1 question. Let’s say if thief disable the GPS of the phone but can we find the phone using last recorded GPS location on phone?
Hi Bro, my mobile is stolen. if my mobile on switch off mode then possibility to trace my mobile location through IMEI number ? bcz who stolen my mobile they didn’t remove my sim card. when i make call on my mobile, it is switch off mode. so i thought my sim is safe into the mobile. but in my mobile no any tracking device. but i have IMEI number.
Wow these tricks are super helpful. I was completely unaware of this feature before but now I know, what i should be doing incase i lose my phone. Thanks again for sharing this awesome trick with us.
