Adding related post widget on blogger blog mobile view
Hi Babanature,
Great list of related posts plugins 🙂
Yes, I do use one too and am pretty happy with that presently, or perhaps because I haven’t really tried out the others you mentioned. N-related sounds different and is one worth trying as you recommend it, while the others I have tried out and let go and changed to use what suits best presently. I wonder if there is a Link within option for WordPress users also, or it’s only for Bloggers. With the number of posts increasing it becomes tough to keep track of what to link and what not to.
Thanks for sharing. Have a nice week ahead 🙂
Hello Harleena,
Yes, Linkwithin as option for wordpress blog. I used it (like 4days)some weeks back because of the problem i was having with my cache plugin. Linkwithin use tags to get their related post and they are also lite.
N-related is my all time favorite because they have what i actually need (freedom for customization :)). I am sure that the related plugin you’re using is also awesome 🙂
Thanks for stopping by and dropping your lovely comment my friend, do have a beautiful week start 🙂
Hello Babanature,
It’s funny how most times you read my mind. 🙂 . . I was surfing the internet yesterday for good 3-hours about this same issue. I am trying no to add additional plugins, the one I tried which I loved, failed to load under post content but under footer links..
I decided to create one without plugins, I have one eye on my bounce rate. I am facing other issue from my stubbornness, so it would be hard to tell if the results would be immediate.
Thanks for this list, 🙂
Hello Nosa,
I would strongly recommend N-related because of the many feature it has and also the beautification it gives your blog.
Well, i do hope the hand related post codding is working well for you!. Have a nice week start…
I am facing bounce rate issues. My blog’s bounce rate is really high – around 70%. I use n-related plugin on my blog. Its a great plugin but its not working for me so far.
Hello Ankur,
Apart from related post plugins, you should take some other measures to help stabilize your blogs bounce rate. you can read my earlier post on how to reduce bounce rate…
Thanks for stopping by and dropping your wonderful comment. do have a wonderful week start 🙂
Hi Babanature,
I have only used nRelate. No complaints here. Using any decent related posts plug in can seriously lower your bounce rate. Keep readers on your blog. Plug in it up 😉
Thanks for sharing 🙂
You’re right Ryan, a decent related post plugin can indeed lower a blogs bounce rate.
Good to know that you’re also using nRelated :).
Have a blessed week start buddy…
Hi Baba !
I’m using the Yarpp related post plugin and i think its the best one from this list . I’ve used link within and n relate before and they didn’t show 100% related posts to a particular post which forced me to remove them . Thanks for sharing the information brother .
-Pramod
Hello Pramod,
Yeah, YARPP is indeed accurate when it comes to providing related post. But i’d also say that the plugin do take some bandwidth 🙂
Thanks for stopping by and dropping your comment. do have a wonderful week start…
Sir,
That was really a good collection of related posts plugins. I love the way you gave the explanation. I personally using yarpp but later switched to nrelated and this is awesome plugin. I do suggest others to go for yarpp and go for its premium uses. Thanks for this great post.
Hello Tharun,
So YARRP do have a premium features as well? i did not know about that :).
Thanks for stopping by and dropping your comment, do have a wonderful week start 🙂
Thanks babanature!
I was in search of info about these type of plugins. Now as you recommend I shall use n-relate.
But can you please suggest me minimum number of posts that should be there before using this plugin?
It is good to add the related post plugin after like 30 posts. But you should know the right time when it comes :).
Thanks for the comment and do have a nice week start…
Hey Babanature,
Well everyone needs to be using one of these plugins at least. I use to use Efficient Related Posts and I loved it but it just quit working for me after WordPresses latest update.
I went in search of a new one and I just wanted the text so I found Related Posts and I love that one because it shows you the stats of how many people are actually clicking through to your posts not only from their desktop but for mobile users as well. I was so thrilled to see how many people actually click on them. Oh and I can also choose the posts I want to be seen too.
Great share though and we want people to stay on our site but at the same time as I wrote last week, I think Google isn’t really being fair about how they gauge that. There is another way around that as you very well know.
Thanks for sharing and have a great week.
~Adrienne
Hello Adrienne,
So you’re using the “Related Post” plugin? It indeed look cool on your blog :).
From you just said, the plugin also sound good… no wonder i also added it to the list :).
Ahhh… I learned the new way on how to reduce bounce rate on your blog and i will be sharing it with my readers pretty soon as well…
Thanks for stopping by and do have a blessed week ahead 🙂
Hey Babanture,
This is a nice list of related post plugins. I’ve used N Related post for over a year now and didn’t realize you can include ads with in until I read this post. But in all this a definitely a great way to bring down your bounce rate.
I also was reading via, Adrienne Smith blog, that also google will only bring down your bounce rate only if the reader clicks and read a post within the current post you’re in. But she has a link to a php code to put in your blog if you have wordpress. I put it in 2 days ago and so far I got 2 percent down from the orginal bounce rate.
Hello Sherman,
Yeah nRelated can do all that and more. it is also one of the best ways to sell your affiliate product.
That PHP code Adrienne shared with us is very powerful. i added it to my blog and 24 hours latter my bounce rate dragged to 2% now my bounce is 2% :). Well i will make a post about that and better teach how to implement it 🙂
Thanks for stopping by and dropping your comment, do have a wonderful week ahead…
Hi Babanature
It ‘ve been a while since I dropped by owning greatly to my busy offline activities recently.
I must commend your effort in coming up with this awesome list of plugins for displaying recent post on our blog.
Nrelate sure beats the rest as it does not impact on the server at all unlike most other ones out there that seems bloated and resources hungry.
I kinda agree with all your points as related post helps reduce bounce rate and also increases on our visibility in search results.
Thanks for sharing this awesomeness buddy!
Hello Obasi,
You are absolutely right, many of this plugins do use up resources that’s why i stick to nRelated because of its lite weight. And thank God you love the plugin as well 🙂
Thanks for stopping by and dropping your comment, do have a beautiful week ahead…
Pretty cool list Babanature.
Do you have some suggestions for forum owners? You know I told I’ll make my own forum few months ago, well for more than a week I start working on it as much time I have of course. I’m not hurry, no no not me.
If you have 2 minutes and could take a look at my forum, and I created with attention categories and forums, I also put some ads just to see how it will look like “Ha Ha Ha”, few friends said to put ads on header ut I said no ads in header, header clean like no other, once you check my forum, than come back to this post and say your suggestions in 2 or 3 lines, would be freakin’ awesome bro’ 😀
I appreciate your suggestions, kind regards from far away. Romania 😀
Hello Daniel,
In all the forum i have been, i don’t think i’ve seen any of it having related post widget. Well you can do a research on that and see how it goes.
I’ve stopped by your forum and i must say that i am very much impress… I thought the forum was running on SMF platform till i checked the footer :). SMF and Xenforo do look alike, don’t you think?
The forum is well organize and it has almost all popular categories. I must say, bravo mate…
Have a nice week ahead…
Ha ha sure thing aren’t, I said like that just to make an intro to my forum 😀
Thanks for opinion Babanature. Planning this forum for a while and 2 weeks ago I bough the software. Is the best if you ask me, some will say VB is the best but not many knows Xenforo developers worked on VB until they split in 2 businesses.
Forum launch but not sure, on 1st January 2014 with a contest or something, I did not have the time to plan the contest yet. I’m not hurry, no no not me.
See you next time man. Kind regards from I. C. Daniel
Most welcome Daniel,
Do have a wonderful week ahead…
List is awesome. Higher bounce rate is really a point of worry; in the beginning of my blogging journey I used to be so disturb over my high level of bounce rate but after improving navigation of my blog and putting a related post widget now it is quite rational.
Thanks for sharing more than one options to pick the best one according to niche and format of our blog.
Hello Muba,
Indeed Navigation sense and related post do help solve a little of our bounce problem. Glad you took the right steps to improve your bounce rate.

LinkWithin was good when I first tried it. But it stopped working for me and I have yet to find a replacement. So I am glad you posted this. Now I have choices. Excellent!!!
Hello Treathyl,
I would definitely recommend you use the nRelated plugin because of its flexibility.
Thanks for stopping by and dropping your comment, do have a wonderful week ahead… 🙂
I used zemanta on my blogs but I found it’s making the blog slow. I uninstalled the plugin & thinking what is the best related post plugin. This article soloved my problem. I think I should go for N related.
Helo Pritam,
I haven’t heard of Zamanta before but i am sure that nRelated will be a good choice for you.
Thanks for stopping by and dropping your comment, do have a wonderful week ahead :).
Hi Babanature,

Thanks for the comment Emmanuel and do have a wonderful week ahead…
Thanks for this related Plugin post and am searching for the same.
Am not having the plugin to show the related posts and recent posts.
Will choose any one of the related plugin from here and pls suggest me the best recent post plugin to add in my sidebar Baba 🙂
Hello Nirmala,
All the related posts i dropped, are all good for blogs and also popular. so picking one won’t be problem :).
Ahhh. you don’t need a plugin to show recent post at your blogs side bar, Just go to your widget area and you will see the resent post widget there. Just drag and drop to your preferred position… but if you want a recent post that can show thumbnail and excerpt,
Thanks for your reply Baba 🙂
Am new to WP and just started to learning the useful Plugins.
As you told, I dragged the recent post widget to my sidebar 🙂
That is the best method Nirmala :). The default recent post widget is more accurate and advisable to use…
Please do not that too much of plugin is bad for your blog’s health..
Hi – I use the contextual related posts plugin and I’m quite happy with that at the moment, so I think I’ll stick with it for now.
Hello Sue,
I guess many bloggers do use the contextual related post plugin… It is always the best to use things that works best for you.
Thanks for stopping by and dropping your comment. do have a wonderful week ahead…
Hello Babanature…
Related post is indeed essential to ones blog and should be taken seriously. I have been looking for a related post plugin that don’t chew bandwidth, i will be using the nRelated. Thanks
Hello Bello,
Good to know that this post is useful to you. Happy choosing 🙂
Hi Babanature,
The one plugin that I use for related posts doesn’t actually show very much related posts, but more like whatever. I can’t even remember the name right now.
Now because my time is so tight and I’m not a tech person, I’m just a bit nervous to change. Do you think I should?
Hello Sylviane,
If your related post plugin not showing well, i’ll strongly advice you to change it. Just do a clean uninstall of your old related post and download one of the mentioned related post plugins and install it…
Innstall plugin is very simple to do. but if you should run into trouble installing the plugin, just holla at me and i will assist 🙂
Thanks for the comment and do have a wonderful weekend start 🙂
Another one is Outbrain. It will supposedly share your content on other sites that use it to help bring in additional traffic. And you can use their monetization feature to display related content from other sites.
Hello Jason,
Haven’t hear of Outbrain before but from what you said, its indeed cool.
Thanks for the contribution, and do have a wonderful weekend ahead…
