If you just started blogging and it’s still giving you difficulties, I’ll advice you to read this post “Before starting a blog, make sure you have these in check” – so you can learn how to build the foundation of your blog properly and know how you can take your blog to the next level.

8 Blogging Tips Every New Blogger Should Know

Okay, you have successfully created that blog you’ve always wanted. And you love it just the way it is… but before you can go further with your blog, there are some things I am going to point out that will help you and your blog in terms of visibility and productivity.

Below are the 8 blogging tips every new blogger should know… are you ready? If yes, the first on our list would be –

Don’t use excess plugin, it kills:

One of the easiest ways to kill your blog slowly is by implementing plugins after plugins after plugins on your blog.

Plugin helps our blog run smoothly and easy without stress, but too much of it kills the speed of your blog.

Too much of plugin install can make your host provider shutdown your blog due to high CPU usage.

Too much of plugin can make your hard-earned traffic go away and search engines leave your site and never come back.

You’ll frequently get error page if you install many plugins on your blog…

Normally, plugin don’t have maximum dose – but it is advisable to install not more than 15 plugins on a blog. 15 installed plugin can help keep up the speed of your blog and remember that search engines love sites that are fast.

Only Blog what you truly know

I have been to so many new blogs that only copy, paste and publish other blogger’s articles. If you are that blogger who only copy other bloggers works, I am sorry that you have already failed. You can’t make it in the blogging work…

To make it in the blogging world – I’ll advice you to do research properly on the niche you want to blog about so you won’t have to copy other bloggers work. Or you can simply teach what you truly know and have full knowledge about.

Plus you can easily help someone with the perfect solution when they approach you.

Watch all successful bloggers you know, they all are into the niche they truly know about. Why not you do the same?

Be unique

Somebody ask me – “Babanature how can a new blogger drive traffic to their blog?” the first step I told him to take was to be unique. Why? Because if your article is not unique and you try to drive traffic to it, yes you will get the wanted traffic but you will have a high bounce rate.

Having a high bounce rate, with time, your blog will be swept off search engines and that is bad. Trust me; no blogger wants their blog not to show on search engines.

If your article is good enough, your readers will definitely read the article no matter how lengthy it will be… and the sweet part is, they will click-through your recommended posts because they love your article.

Use images that actually go with the post

There are some new bloggers that would ask me to check out their blogs for correction. After checking their blogs I’ll see that many don’t use images on their blog posts and some that does, abuse it.

What makes a blog post even more interesting is when your post and the images you attached to are similar.

Some readers fall in love with the images you use and some might pin them or share them just to show how impressed they are.

If you are not into tutorials or photography niche, please don’t fill your blog post with images, why? It will only make your blog look stupid and the images will drag your server. Even Google kick against such acts

Make your images simple and in line with the post – one image or two images are very much okay and advisable to give your blog that flavor 😉

Make proper research before writing that great post

You wrote a catchy post that got few eyes looking your way. But, the funny thing is, you can’t answer questions thrown at you because you did not make proper research before making such post.

blog smart

What makes you unique and different from other bloggers is, you are ready to go on extra miles just to get the job done.

Your post will speak for you and your voice will convince the people 🙂

Make friends

This is one of the easiest parts in our blogging journey.

We need friends to support us in our blogging journey. You know those kinds that can help us share our posts, and talk with when having little difficulties.

Learn from experts

Okay, you are a blogger doesn’t mean you won’t learn some new tricks to help your blog move forward.

One of the good ways to put your blog into the right path is to learn from people who have experience more than you in a particular area or who’ve been in the blogging business way more than you.

Apart from experts, it is good to learn from your colleagues and friends that are in the same niche with you.

Find out what makes them what they are, find out their most shared contents, build a topic around that content and please when you do, do not copy. Remember to always be unique in whatever you do.

Final Words

Making money blogging, getting traffic, or whatever will only come if you focus and never give up, so keep pushing. If you are in the right track, you will know and if you’re not, it is never too late to pull back and retrace your problem so you can be a better you 🙂

All success I’ve had is because of my friends. Without them I’d be writing a diary, not a blog, so I make more friends daily and strengthen my bonds daily, too. Friends smooth out your blogging journey in a major way.

    Thanks much!

Yes, they are “no” expert in the blogging world or outside, but they are people who know way more that others when it comes to some certain field. So asking those people for help or learning some few tricks aint a bad idea.

  9. Hi BabaNature,

A very useful article for the newbies.

I truly agree with your 2nd point. Most of the people who comes to blogging want to see success in one day. They do not have the patience to research. Simply copy – pasting someone else’s hard work. And then wonder ‘why I am not able to gather traffic’.

Blogging is not easy & never it was. If you do not have the endurance to read & think, then dear this is not your place.

I may sound little harsh, but it is really irritating when few people simply shows someone else’s work as their own. Thanks for pointing this out & few other very important basics.

  10. Hi Babanature,

I find it enthralling to write on topics where I am a master. I think that is the essence of blogging. Otherwise, we will just be on an exploratory expedition.

Thanks for these valuable tips! Have a great day!

  11. Hi Babanature,
