  1. Hi Babanature,

Yes indeed, perhaps these are the best blogging platforms, just as you mentioned.

Honestly speaking, when I started blogging and looked up Google, I found Blogger and WordPress as the only main ones and never went further to explore these. Perhaps if I would have, I’d know more of them, but a lot depends on the purpose of why we want to start a blog, isn’t it? So, we choose the blogging platforms based on that. 🙂

Thanks for sharing. Have a nice week ahead 🙂

I started immediately with WordPress and I am glad I did. I love it. But at that time I heard about Blogger and WordPress and I thought these are the only two platforms available.

Only recently I heard about Joomla but Drupal and Typepad are new to me. Good to be on the know.

First of all thanks for sharing the most popular and best blogging platforms and I must say I have blogs in all these platforms.

    Cheers!

  8. Hello B. Nature !
These are indeed great blogging platform but among all, I enjoy the WordPress, it is really amazing knowing you have control over your blog.

I used to use blogger before I migrated to wordpress, I used think that blogger was the best probably because I was scared of moving to wordpress but now am really enjoying the wordpress freedom !!

    DOK ..

    1. Hello Simon,

Apart from blogger platform on the list, other platforms gives you the freedom to do what you want.

  9. Hey man,

Nice write up. Joomla is good but I don’t think normal peeps could make good use for it. It is just too complicated and it would require you to learn from scratch. I have several Joomla and trust me, it’s huge hassle.

But it is definitely more powerful than WordPress.

Thanks and have an awesome weekend!
    ~Reginald

    1. Hello Reginald,
Joomla is awesome 🙂 . They are some hooks that can help bloggers with little coding knowledge build up a nice joomla site. But as you’ve said, a blogger that doesn’t have coding knowledge, will find it hard using the platform.

Thank you for stopping by and dropping your comment. Do have a wonderful weekend…

  10. Hi Babanature,

Nice list of blogging platforms out there…incidentally – and to the great relief of all, these platforms all make it very easy creating and running a site or blog (without previous knowledge of coding).

There’s one (relatively new platform) you however omitted – the Ghost platform…

Of all these platforms however, I’ll still (willingly) go with WP anyday! The support, themes and plugins simply means there is nothing that cannot be done.

    Do make the day great!

    Always,
    Terungwa

    1. Hello Akaahan,
Yeah, the Ghost platform is among my top ten blogging platforms. They are new but they have done so well for them selves 🙂

Thanks for the lovely comment dear friend, do have a good weekend

  11. Nice update sir !

You got it all right , babanature! I firmly believe you .

But , all the same , i love WP more than any other one but will never cease enjoying the day with blogger .

Thanks for sharing , nice day wishes .

    1. Hello YB,
Yeah, blogger is awesome but because because its not a stand alone, it makes WordPress much more fun 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and dropping your comment. Do have a nice weekend ahead…

I have included you in the list of Nigerian tech blog.

    1. Hello Emebu,
I learned that in life, there is no such thing as impossibility. Nigerian bloggers are doing good now in terms of blogging, right?

Thanks for the inclusion dear friend.

  13. Hi Babanature,

  14. Thanks For sharing the Best Blogging Platform. But WordPress is Still at the Best. because its supports Plugins which can Easily do any Change without getting Problem in The Code.

Thanks for sharing i want to know something that how to Download any Paid Theme of any company.

IT will be more helpful if you tell me this thing in revert of this comment.

  15. Great list. There are so many blogging platforms I wasn’t aware of. I like WordPress, blogger and Tumblr. I think Joomla and Drupal are good for developing websites not blogs. They become complex and you need to add plugins to make them behave as a blogging platform. Thanks

  16. All solid selections Babanature. I know many bloggers use free platforms. In truth, rocking it out is possible on free or paid platforms.

I’m one of the WP drones. I mean, paid, hosted WP. I love the functionality and find creating branded themes an easier go with WP versus some free platforms. But I am no techie. I’m just little old me, a guy with regressed design skills and an eye for Kubrick themes lol!

Thanks Baba, good to be back.

    Enjoy your weekend!

    Ryan

  17. Hi babanature,
This is my first visit on your site and got impressed. 🙂
What an informative and needful post indeed.Amaznig five tips for blogging platform.
Thanks for sharing…..please keep posting such article.

  18. I first started a wordpress blog but hated it because i could not monetize it. This is the biggest disadvantage of using wordpress.Later, i created a blogger blog which didn’t do well. I also left this one and now, i am running my blog on wordpress dot org platform. I think, like most of others, it is best cms available on net. Easy to use, monetization, control over everything. And like you already said, its plugins are amazing. Looks awesome.
There is no match between wordpress and blogger.
