What the Holiday Message does is – it allows you to add a popup message along with a holiday graphic, over the top or at the bottom of your site.

It also allows you to change the colors, position and even add a snowfall effect. Sounds Awesome, right?

  2. Wow! . Nice Plugins. I never knew there was anything like ‘Xmas Plugin’ . I Really like that holiday message plugin but i cant use it because its outdated. 🙁 Thanks For Sharing 🙂

  5. I didn’t use those you mentioned but I use this plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-snow-effect/ (hasn’t been updated in over 2 years and still work He – He – He) with the Xmas Theme form Site5.com. If I remember correct I ot the theme from smashingmagazine.

    I’m more than satisfied, you should make a top 5 best themes for Christmas when you have time Babanature(in case you didn’t)!

    I won’t be launching my blog until New Year’s (well, I will be launching the countdown soon), so I don’t particularly have a chance to try these plugins (I suppose I could try them on for my countdown page).

    I have seen a snowball effect – particularly on forums (Frankly, I have had a bad experience with it. It seemed to slow sites down). I suppose that isn’t the case with WordPress – Adrienne is using it and her site seems to load fine.

  11. If I’m not mistaken, you won’t need to use any of these plugins if you’re using Jetpack since it’ll temporarily add the “snow fall” feature to your site. You can enable it from settings page.
