  1. Hey BABA

I am also looking forward to buy hosting plan. I think Hostgator is the best and reliable hosting service. I like it is really cheap and really awesome. Beside that Bluehost is also fine but if you are willing to buy it for shortterm it is not worth giving try. Long term Bluehost is cheaper then the hostgator.

I am going to buy baby plan on hostgstor for 36 monnth. What do you think which company should I opt if money is no concern, ? ? ? ?

    Peace 🙂
    ASHI

    1. Hello Ashi,
Hostgator have good hosting plan as well and they are also trusted by many.
The truth is, all host providers favors more if you opt in for a longer period of time. It is best to run a background check on all the host providers before making a final choice 🙂
Thanks for stopping by and dropping your wonderful comment, do have a wonderful week ahead…

  2. This is a great post!!!!! I totally surprised when I read the Host Gator’s plan. Did you write $3.96 per month. I actually get lot’s of positive reviews of Host Gator from mah buddies. But Currently I host my two blogs on Host Rivers. I get a good customer support 24*7 and yet not face any trouble with hosting. But honestly if you want to start blog than you have to remove free word from your mind. Because sometimes free comes up with so many disadvantages.

    1. Hey Patel,
Yeah! Hostgetor is that cheap but it is cheap if you are going for a longer plan.
Ah! your host must be a good one if you love them that much 🙂
Thanks for your lovely comment and do have a wonderful week ahead…

  3. Hello babanature,

These are eye opening hosting companies. I can’t blame people for running after free hosting, probably they are just making fun by writing, so they don’t want to spend, but I guess they want to make money.

Free hosting are not always good because there will be a limited space, even WordPress free website is 1GB space.

This cheap hosting packages are cool, $4 is okay for a month, if you are wise, then you will get more money in return.

Thanks for sharing. Happy New Month 😀

    1. Hello Miracle,
Ahah… You’re right, they are just doing it for fun 🙂 . And one thing i do hate about free hosting is the downtime they always gets.

Thanks for your contribution on the topic at hand. Do have a wonderful week ahead…

  4. You are very correct with those webhosting providers. I am also using Arvixe for my blog and they very reliable. But i think their customer care is very good now because anytime i had issue with them, they respond to me on time. And i also have there 20% off discount code on any of their plan when you wanna use Arvixe

    1. Hell Sir Dutch,
Arvixe is a good host but till now, their live support is not that good… but their support is great 🙂
Thanks for letting us know your side of the story 🙂 , Do have a wonderful week ahead…

  5. Hi Babanature,

That’s a great list of cheap wordpress hosting providers 🙂

I know most people vouch for BlueHost and perhaps it’s a little on the costly side, but good things always come at a cost. I haven’t really tried it but it is working well for many, while others have moved away from it.

I use Hostgator and so far it’s working very well for me, so all marks to it. The others I have no idea about though have heard of them. I think what matters most is the support needs to be good so that you can get your problems resolved quickly, isn’t it?

Thanks for sharing. Have a nice week ahead 🙂

    1. Hello Harleena,
Every host do have their good and bad reviews. But to me, blue host is also one of the top guns and they are doing pretty good job 🙂

Who could have thought that you’re also using hostgator, i’v heard a lot of negative review. But hey! they are just reviews right?
Thanks for your lovely comment and do have a great week ahead…

  6. Hey Babanature,

While I can’t speak for all of these I can speak for two of them.

As you know I was with BlueHost for almost five years. I was actually two months shy of celebrating five long years with them. Now we all know when you’re just starting out that you’re not going to have the issues bloggers have that have been online for a number of years but I found their customer service to have really taken a nose dive which I think I was almost more upset about then the service. They never told me the right answer and although they said they were fixing the problem they didn’t. Their service techs just did not do the job correctly and when you have to rely on those people to service you, bad deal.

Ashvini moved over to Arvixe in February and he’s already moving again because they just quit responding to his service requests. That’s why he moved in the first place from Smackhunt which has since disappeared.

You really need to think before you move to any hosting service because there are a lot of companies vying for your business. If you’re starting out I would got with shared hosting plans too but I would still want a company that’s going to do a good job, respond to my requests and service me properly.

    ~Adrienne

    1. Hello Adrienne,
You’ve said it all… you need to think do proper research before moving to any host. But one thing i don’t like about these hosts are the bad customer care 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and dropping your lovely comment as always. Do have a wonderful week ahead…

  7. hi. babanature. in my opinion as far as webhosting remain the best budget for websites. arvixe remain the best.

  8. Hello Babanature,

Well I’m really shocked when I first checked the title of “free Hosting” I thought if there’s any offer running currently :D. Seems like these are popular web hosting providers and I guess I’ve used/tried most of them and currently using bluehost.

    Thanks

    1. Hello Nithin,
The title did correspond with the post, right?
Bluehost is a nice hosting provider and i am sure that they serving you well 🙂
Do have a nice weekend ahead…

  9. Hey Babanature,

Yes it’s been a good minute since I’ve here. I hope that all is well with you over there in Nigeria!

You have quite a list here. I never heard of Arvixe and it sounds like they are a great reliable hosting company to reckon with. I’ve had my bad experience with hostgator. My dad got on it but we didn’t care to much for their customer service. So we had to let them go.

I myself use GoDaddy and have been happy with them. As far as I’ve been with them, their servers have never failed. If they did, then it might have been the time where I didn’t have access to my blog via internet. But besides that I love their customer service. They were a lot of help when I first start using self hosted blogs. I didn’t know anything at the time and they didn’t look down or condescend when I called to have them walk me through.

Thanks for sharing this info and you have a fantastic weekend!

    1. Hello Sherman,

Everything here is going on smoothly, i only went offline to take care of some few business. Thanks for asking dear friend 🙂 …
Ahhh… arvixe is a great host but as hostgator, their customer care is not that good as well.

I have been hearing about Godaddy it is good you brought it up.

Thanks for dropping your wonderful comment and do have a wonderful weekend ahead…

    1. Most welcome Charmie,
It is good to know that hostgator is serving you well and you’re not having any problems with them.
Thanks for the comment and Do have a wonderful weekend ahead…

  10. Hostgator is very used, reliable too, those bad reviews, well at least most of them comes out because of competition and because many webmasters want to run a high traffic website on shared server, I’m afraid that’s ain’t possible anywhere in the world of web hosting.

  11. I have tried Hostgator, and for the most part, it was very smooth.

Although I am not sure I might recommend it anymore…I have heard a lot of bad reviews, lately. So, I will be staying far away from Host gator.

Right now, I am with another company (I am planning to switch though). The company is great and all, but my blog does go down a lot of times (luckily it only goes down for 1-3 minutes, most of the time). But, I have also had instances in which the site was down for more than an hour.

I don’t want to take any chances, especially when it comes to my blog. I am planning to switch over to Fat Cow (Fat Cow was my first preference when I first switched over to WordPress in 2011, but I decided to go with HG since a lot of my friends recommended it).

Anyways, thank you for sharing this, Babanature 🙂 Appreciate it!

  12. To be sincere i don’t think someone on earth will still option for free hosting for his/her wordpress blog, instead of looking for free webhosting company, it is best to be on the blogger platform.

Currently am using arvixe for my blog, but my previous hosting company was web4africa, i migrated away from them because of regular server issues, if it is not server crash excuses, it will be server maintenance. I just get feedup and move to arvixe some days ago.

On arvixe, no complain yet. But hoping for the best from them. @ Babanature, thanks for this article post, hope to always come around to check for more interesting article

  13. Hello babamature,

I presently use a free web hosting. Downtime is something i experience every day. I should have switch to a paid host , but due to some issue i will be switching to a paid host.

But can‘t i get an hosting service that is more affordable?

    I await your reply.

  14. A comprehensive list there Babanature
I love my bluehost hosting so far. It is almost perfect. I have had some minor issues, but what hosting company is perfect.
We all need to make the right decision based on the importance of our site and the money we have, but for now I am happy.
And I am sure with this list many more will be happy soon too
    ashley

  15. Hello Babanature,

that’s a pretty good list of web hosting providers. As i am using iPage hosting and satisfied with the services they are providing. i guess hostgator would be of my choice if i am going to change my hosting provider after reading your reviews on it.

    1. Hello Shamsuddeen,
Babatunde? my name is Babanature and not Babatunde. Please get that noted 😉

Yes, you can use a Naira master card. i’d advice you to use the UBA Africard. it works like charm 🙂

  16. Hello babanature can I use either gtbank naira MasterCard or UBA africard to buy hosting from bluehost? Which one works for now

    1. Hello Cynthia,

You can definitely use GTBank naira MasterCard to buy web hosting space on any web host. But my question is, have you used any of the card for online transaction before?
