  1. I would like to know if this tut works on a WP-Network install or how it should be tweaked to get it to work across a WP-Network?

And I totally agree, as a user of WPMUdev’s awesome Ultimate Branding plugin, being able to accomplish these same aesthetic feats with that plugin would be a spectacular update.

    1. Hello Evan,
I’ll say yes, the plugin can work on a wp-network. And this plugin is indeed a good one for bloggers who want to customize their blog’s admin panel 🙂

  2. Hi Ambika, good to see you at Babanature’s blog 🙂

Informative post on creating custom WordPress login page indeed!

Who doesn’t like customization! I’ve seen a few login and register pages where people had their own logos and I always used to wonder how they did that. Though I’ve presently disabled registrations on my blog, but I can try to have a customized login page for myself. 🙂

Thanks for sharing. Have a nice week ahead, both of you 🙂

I have been wondering when seeing other blogs while doing guest post for logging into them. They all use to have these kind of customized logins which is unique and attractive. They brand them self in different ways that’s why we call them pro-bloggers. But I came to know how to do it. Thanks for sharing this.

Also I want to know how we can the logo in the login page. Even I see some websites having their logo in login page than the official wordpress logo. If you know, let me know it in your next article.

    Thank You.

    2. Hi Shathyan,
Am so delighted to get such a wonderful response to this article here for my good friend, BabaNature.
Yes, you can also add your own logo instead of the WP logo on the customized login page you create for yourself.
All you need to do for that is replace the logo in wp-register.php.
I am sure you are smart enough to be able to handle that.
Please write back to us if you need more help with that.

  4. Apart from being very unique, custom log in pages for wordpress can help curb a lot of things that could appear to be a sorta vulnerability or security risk.
This is one of the first things I learn in my early days of blogging.

Thanks for taking your time to explain this pragmatically and also do have a great week ahead

  7. I never knew something like this every existed. Never knew that you could customise your login page. I am sure its something handy and could be used and tried. Seems as if this plugin has a host of other features which is good in a way as it will limit the number of plugins to be used.

    1. Hello Shalu,
I also haven’t heard of the plugin till Ambika posted it here. I went to do a lot of digging to know whats the plugin can actually do. Aside from the login customization it performs, it also has a lot of other cool features that will indeed help improved blog security.
Thanks for the comment and hope you have a good week ahead 🙂

    1. Thanks, Sumanth!
I am sure you will love WordPress. Though I have never really tried Blogger, all my friends who have migrated from there do tell me how blogging suddenly became much easier for them.
If you do decide to keep registration open on your blog, I am sure you will love this plugin. 🙂
      Good luck with WordPress.

    1. I couldn’t agree with you more Sonal.
P.s. it will be nice to have a gravatar enabled email for your self so people can see you in a professional way 🙂

  8. WordPress is #1. Hundreds of plugins to choose from and themes too. Anyone wondering “how to .. something” just search on Google and the tutorial is in your face. “Custom login by OnenaijaBLOG”. Thanks bro’!

Best regards from I. C. Daniel

    1. Totally agree to that!
And isnt that one of the reasons WordPress has an edge over other blogging platforms?
There is so little that needs to be done manually, which makes it easy for someone like me manage a blog easily too. 😛

  9. Hi Ambika,

Nice to see you here at Babanature’s blog and a very interesting topic.

I’ve read about this in the past but I’m the kind of girl that prefers less plug-ins. I’d prefer someone coding it for me to be honest with you then relying on another plug-in. I really believe that less is best and although they do some really cool things like creating your own opt-in page we can really get carried away with them.

I’m sure there will be plenty of people though jumping in to give this one a go.

    1. Hi Adrienne,
If every blogger was as smart as you and could handle coding, we wouldnt see those many plugins as we do today.
The fact is that I myself cant handle the codes, etc too confidently and use plugins heavily on my blog.
For those like me who are technically handicapped, this plugin is a blessing!

      1. Oh Ambika, I’m not a coder. I either Google how to do it or ask someone I trust to help me with it. I can do a few little things and I’ve learned a lot but I’m not brave enough to break my theme over something. I only wish I knew more code but I’ll definitely find someone to help me with it. That’s why relationships online are so important. I’ve got the perfect list of friends. 😉
